College of Management and Economics, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a symposium on the role of financial institutions in activating investment.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included identifying the financial institutions and their active role in the Iraqi economy as well as clarifying the importance of foreign direct investment and its role in activating the stock market besides reviewing the statement of the work of financial institutions in activating foreign direct investment.
The symposium reviewed methods of improving financial institutions via increasing their contribution in the financial sector as well as raising their financial activities as well as studying the amendment of the Iraqi Investment Law (13) , 2006 which contributes in attracting foreign investors and combating financial and administrative corruption.
