College of Engineering, University of Basrah discussed a master dissertation on the generation and detection of fake images and videos by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Doaa Alaa Taleb.
The dissertation reviewed a method for generating fake images and video clips, as well as a method for detecting them via using different algorithms GAN networks to create fake images via using the StyleGAN2-ADA algorithm, which outperformed StyleGAN2.
The dissertation highlighted data efficiency, clarity and accuracy in detecting fake images with a success rate of 95.71%.
