Karbala University: On Drones & Modern Agriculture

College of Agriculture, University of Karbala organized a symposium on using of drones as modern agricultural techniques.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, aimed at addressing agricultural problems, supporting advanced research, identifying the benefits of using the drones in the survey of agricultural land, determining the coefficient of vegetative growth, proportion of salts and bush and agricultural pests.

The symposium reviewed the economic importance of implementing the UAVs in drones and using software in image processing as well as reviewing the fields’ application that drones need to be used.

The symposium recommended setting the basics methods of developing the agricultural production via using modern technologies in order to contribute in achieving food security and preserving agricultural wealth to support the national economy.
