During the College of Science, University  of Mustansiriyah’s 8th International Conference on Atmospheric Sciences 2023 ISCCSAS, University’s President, Dr. Hameed Fadhil Al-Tamimi said that the aim of the conference is to provide government institutions with studies and projects that meet the requirements of sustainable development, as well as highlighting a set of axes related to the atmosphere and weather, air pollution, climate changes, remote sensitivity, geophysics and renewable energy.

Dr. Al-Tamimi stressed the importance of focusing on scientific research, discreet publishing, holding specialized conferences and seminars, and organizing joint cooperation agreements with ministries and state institutions.

For his part, Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Muhammad Faraj announced that there is communication with the American agency (NASA) to link the (Aironet) system specialized in remote sensing, monitoring and following up the movement and intensity of dust storms in the Middle East, indicating that this system will be installed within the College of Science and will be the only one in Iraq and the region.

It is worth mentioning that the conference was attended by a number of faculty members and researchers from various Iraqi, Arab and foreign universities.
