Higher Education: On Preservatives Foods’ Analytical Tests

Department of Materials Research, merged Ministry of Science and Technology delivered a lecture on analyzing food preservatives, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

The lecture reviewed the preservatives of sorbic acid, sodium benzoate, paraben and propyl paraben via using gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC-MS) as one of the advanced analytical techniques that contributes in the qualitative and quantitative analysis process of organic compounds and metal complexes for solid, liquid and gaseous materials in various Industrial, medical, research and environmental applications.
