Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of Iraqi Ranking for Universities to develop the educational environment and measure indicators of institutional and programmatic performance and the path of scientific research.
Higher Education reviewed that this edition, which was
completed by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus, includes the ranking
of (100) public and private institutions compared to last year (95)
institutions according to (10) special axes to measure institutional
performance as the following:
▪ Institutional accreditation standards 20%
▪ Global rankings 10%
▪ Effectiveness of scientific research 35%
▪ Educational laboratories 5%
▪ Evaluation of scientific and academic reality and
compliance rules 5%
▪ Faculty members 4%
▪ Awards 5%
▪ Diversity and international cooperation 10%
▪ Student Sports Club 3%
▪ Occupational health and safety 3%
The Ministry added “While (2072) scientific departments were
evaluated in (100) public and private universities and colleges compared to
last year (1875) departments in (95) universities according to special
standards to measure the performance of scientific departments as the following:
▪ Quality and program accreditation 50%
▪ Faculty members 25%
▪ Global rankings of academic specializations 25%
Higher Education demonstrated the ranking results via (https://iru.asse-gate.gov.iq)
that reviews that the University of Technology obtained the first score, then
the University of Anbar, then Mustansiriyah University obtained the second score
of public universities, while Al-Mustaqbal University obtained the first score
at the level of private universities and colleges, and the University of Warith
Al-Anbiyaa obtained the second score, then the Islamic University obtained the third
score.
