During a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ms. Janet Alberda, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed fields of scientific and academic cooperation between the universities of the two countries.

Dr. Al-Aboudi demonstrated the policy of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in adopting the internationalization of academic contexts and achieving interaction with influential global institutions and formulating opportunities for twinning scientific projects.

His Excellency said that the Ministry and its institutions succeeded in launching the Study in Iraq program and were able to attract more than three thousand international students in various academic disciplines.

For her part, Ms. Alberda expressed the interest of her country's institutions in coordinating with Iraqi universities and strengthening channels of cooperation and memoranda of understanding and providing an appropriate environment for joint scientific research, while she extended an official invitation to His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi to visit the Kingdom and its university institutions and frame academic relations between the two countries.
