The College of Engineering, University of Kufa discussed a master dissertation on sustainable compacted concrete paving and investigated its mechanical properties by the postgraduate student, Mr. Thaer Muwafaq.

The dissertation highlighted the mechanical properties of sustainable compacted concrete using recycled asphalt aggregate as a partial replacement for the original aggregate, considering it a sustainable material, as well as reviewing the results theoretically and used the Abaqus software to simulate the impact of this type of concrete on hardened roads.

The dissertation recommended using asphalt aggregate at a rate of 15% to achieve a balance between mechanical properties and environmental impacts, thus contributing to enhanced sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of paving projects.
