Northern Technical University’s Master’s Dissertation: On Impact of Channel Bandwidth Allocation & Its Relation To Wireless Area Network Performance

College of Engineering Technology – Mosul, Northern Technical University discussed a master dissertation on the effect of channel bandwidth allocation on the performance of a wireless area network the postgraduate student, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Hassan Muhammad.

The dissertation aimed at improving the efficiency of information transfer and reducing the delay time in transmission via allocating the required bandwidth according to the services required in the network and the number of users present in it.

The dissertation recommended using fixed bandwidth in the presence of a small number of users, and dynamic bandwidth in the event of an increase in the number of users and loads on the network in order to improve network performance, as well as the number of appropriate antennas depending on the loads and the number of users on the network.
