College of Science, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a workshop on the importance of using segmentation techniques for CT scan images in diagnosing tumors، by Dr. Haider Saad Abdul Baqi.

The workshop reviewed the medical imaging devices used to diagnose cancerous tumors that affect humans, especially the helical microscope device, which provides three-dimensional images that help in diagnosing tumors methods of segmenting medical images that help in completing diagnostic procedures by the specialist doctor were reviewed.

The workshop aimed at introducing the medical devices used in 3D imaging, as well as introducing the most important methods of segmenting medical images used in diagnosis.

The workshop recommended the necessity of using the appropriate device according to the medical condition, as each device has benefits and harms, as well as choosing digital software methods in diagnosing tumors and not relying on manual methods.
