College of Agriculture, Anbar University discussed a master dissertation on diagnosing of low cadmium accumulation genotypes and its association with PCS1 Gene expression in bread wheat by the postgraduate student, Mr. Haitham Mukhles Saad.

The dissertation aimed at shedding light on the diagnosis of some genotypes of bread wheat, which absorb the element cadmium in a smaller amount, and which are recommended for use in human nutrition compared to other genotypes, which absorb the element in a larger quantity and to exclude them because of the problems they cause to human health.

The dissertation recommended the use of some genotypes that absorb heavy metals in small quantities and within internationally permissible limits because of their important roles in reclaiming soil and producing cadmium-free wheat.
