College of Engineering, University of Babylon discussed a master dissertation on the urban form, social sustainability, and the role of density and type of housing within the city of Hila by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Rafal Hakim Muhaimid.
The dissertation reviewed the spatial structure of the fixed elements within the city and its impact on daily life and sustainability.
The dissertation aimed at finding indicators to measure the sustainable urban form of the study area (Kalaj and Wardiyeh) in the small greenhouse in the city of Hila.
The dissertation concluded that the methodological framework provides an effective approach for formulating, selecting and prioritizing key indicators that will measure sustainable urban form and can help achieve higher levels of progress towards sustainability.
