During a meeting with the delegation of the British House of Commons, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Essa reviewed developing the higher education horizons in Iraq.

Dr. Al-Essa added that Iraq is keen on benefiting from the British academic experiences in the field of developing the educational sector which is the main factor in the scientific and economic development.

His Excellency reviewed that the Ministry adopts a scientific strategy to manage the post-Daaish in the universities and Dr. Al-Essa continued by saying that the most important aspects of the strategy is to keep the educational institutions away from the ideological projections and take the role of combating unilateral manifestations.

Dr. Al-Essa also reviewed the mechanisms and criteria for admission of students in universities.

For their part, the delegation headed by Baroness Joyce Ann Anlai praised Iraq's keenness on developing the scientific and cultural cooperation with British institutions and universities.
