During a press conference, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed the progress achieved in the first phase of the project, which is designated for employees of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Baghdad.

Dr. Al-Aboudi toured the residential site, accompanied by the Director of the Administrative and Financial, the Director of the Construction and Projects and the engineering team.

His Excellency announced the commencement of coordination with the Real Estate Bank and the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) to secure the necessary bank loans to support faculty members and staff in registering for residential units within the Al-Akhwa project, as well as the project comprises approximately 22,000 housing units distributed across 254 buildings, designed according to a comprehensive plan that considers residential, service, and environmental aspects.
