His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi sponsored the signing of an executive agreement with the United Nations World Food Program on cooperating in the fields of training and developing graduates’ skills.
Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the agreement stipulates the implementation of a special program to develop English language skills, digital and technical skills and entrepreneurship that in cooperation with the rehabilitation, employment and continuing education centers at the Universities of Mosul, Basrah, Technology, Anbar, Thi-Qar and Misan to contribute in developing and strengthening the capabilities of graduates, providing climates for knowledge exchange and developing and consolidating skills and experiences.
His Excellency expressed his hope for more cooperation and coordination within the “Jousour” (Bridges) initiative, which aims at establishing joint programs for development and responding to the requirements of sustainable development.
For his part, representative of the World Food Program, Mr. Ali Redha Qureshi reviewed that the executive agreement represents an important basis for cooperation and provides a suitable environment for projects and programs that will enable university graduates with labor market skills.
