Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that “For the first time, the Universities of Baghdad and Babylon obtained competitive results in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024, which specializes in the response of global universities to sustainable development goals”.
Higher Education reviewed that the 2024 edition of the classification results, nearly 1,400 universities around the world competed according to a methodology that includes indicators responsible for measuring the ability of university institutions to address environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges in the world.
Higher Education highlighted that the results (www.topuniversities.com/sustainability-rankings) reviewed that the University of Baghdad obtained the score (940-921) globally and University of Babylon obtained the score (1201+) in the fields of environmental and social impact and governance.
It is worth to be mentioned that the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 works to read the efforts of educational institutions in achieving the sustainable development goals of the United Nations and strengthening the tasks of universities in implementing the response plan that extends to 2030.
