Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that the University of Baghdad obtained an important top competitive position within the American Ranking of the Best Global Universities for 2022 published by (US News & World Report). Higher Education reviewed that the University of Baghdad obtained the score 1399 out of 1,750 international academic institutions from 90 countries in the ranking, which conducted an analysis in the light of indicators of global research reputation by (12.5%), regional research reputation by (12.5%), scientific publications by (10%), books by (2.5%), conferences by (2.5) %), impact of citations by (10%), sum of citations by (7.5%), number of publications that are among the most cited by 10% (12.5%), percentage of publications that are among the most cited by 10% (10%), country's international cooperation by (5%), cooperation International by (5%), number of publications that are among the most quoted by 1% (5%) and the percentage of publications that are among the most cited by 1% (5%). It is worth mentioning that the ranking website (httpss://www.usnews.com/education/best-global-universities/university-of-baghdad-513204) announced the results related to the continent of Asia, and the University of Baghdad appeared in the sequence 435 out of 827 Asian universities, as well as the Arab countries’ universities were ranked the American Ranking of the Best Global Universities for 2022 are Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco, the Emirates, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait and Oman.
