The College of Law, University of Kufa discussed a master dissertation on the role of artificial intelligence in judicial evidence by the postgraduate student, Ms. Raghad Fadhil Jassim.

The dissertation aimed at highlighting the uses of artificial intelligence in enhancing evidence and uncovering facts within civil judicial procedures, as well as analyzing the relation between technology and methods of proof and reviewing the legal and technical standards necessary for the admissibility of its outputs in court.

The dissertation highlighted that artificial intelligence serves as an aid to the judiciary, contributing to faster decision-making and increased accuracy, but it does not replace the judge, who remains the final decision-maker.

The dissertation recommended the necessity of enacting legislation to regulate the uses of artificial intelligence in civil evidence, preparing courts for the transition to electronic litigation and equipping them with modern technological means to ensure the achievement of justice and the protection of human rights.
