The Ministry of Higher Education Scientific and Research announced that the Times Higher Education released the results of its 2025 Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, which assesses the best universities in interdisciplinary scientific research for 2026.

The Ministry reviewed that the ranking (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/interdisciplinary-science-rankings) evaluated 911 institutions based on eleven performance indicators distributed across three main pillars:

▪️ Teaching and research inputs (19%)

▪️ Academic processes (16%)

▪️ Research and scientific outputs (65%)

Higher Education highlighted that this ranking, which measures universities' contributions and commitment to interdisciplinary science, included 94 countries worldwide in terms of the number of ranked universities. Iraq participated with 29 universities, ranking second among Arab countries in terms of representation, as well as twenty-nine Iraqi universities achieved significant competitive rankings, with Al-Mustaqbal University leading the way in the 251-300 category, followed by the following universities:
