During a meeting with the delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Chairman of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi expressed his appreciation for the IAEA's cooperation with Iraq and its support for joint coordination efforts in the field of nuclear energy for development, peaceful uses, and medical applications.

Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted that specialized national teams are continuing their work addressing pollutants in various governorates.

His Excellency highlighted that Iraqi universities now offer important educational programs in nuclear engineering aimed at training qualified personnel, particularly following the laying of the foundation stone for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's central laboratories and subcritical assembly project.

For their part, the international delegation expressed gratitude the Chairman of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi and the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission for their level of cooperation with the IAEA and their diligent efforts to develop the environment for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and to enhance training and joint scientific work.
