Kirkuk University’s Master’s Dissertation: On Effect of Changing Parameters of Thermal Spraying Via Flame on Some Physical Properties of System (AL2 O3_TiAl)

College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Kirkuk discussed a master dissertation on the effect of changing the parameters of thermal spraying by flame on some physical properties of the (Al2O3TiAl) system by postgraduate student, Mr. Walid Abawi Saleh.


The dissertation aimed at conducting tests that give an accurate picture of the properties of the produced compounds, represented by examining XRD, microstructure, hardness, compressive strength, density and porosity, as well as studying the effect of sintering on the compound.


The dissertation concluded that the best spraying distance is (16 cm), spray angle (90 degrees) and the cementing percentage is 25%, when sintering at a temperature of 1000 degrees Celsius for an hour and a half only.
