College of Education for Pure Sciences, Kirkuk University discussed a master dissertation on the structural, electrical and magnetic properties of Nanoscale nickel-zinc ferrites replaced with aluminum ions by the postgraduate student, Mr. Mohammed Ghaleb Ibrahim.

The dissertation reviewed the preparation of the compound (Ni0.5Zn0.5AlxFe2-xO4) using the sol-gel self-combustion method, with a study of the effect of aluminum ions on the magnetic and electrical properties of the material.

The dissertation concluded that increasing aluminum ions leads to a decrease in saturated magnetism and coercive force, which makes the compound suitable for use as materials in the cores of electrical transformers operating at high frequencies, as these applications require soft magnetic properties to achieve optimal performance.
