College of Education, Samarra University discussed a master dissertation
on isolating and diagnosing of Pseudomona Aeruginosa bacteria from wounds,
burns and urine and comparing the effect of secondary copper oxide prepared
biologically from fig leaf extract with antibiotics from Samarra General
Hospital by the postgraduate student, Ms. Rasul Ahmed Mahdi.
The dissertation aimed at finding a safe, environmentally friendly and
inexpensive way to manufacture copper oxide Nanoparticles from fig leaf extract
and studying its role in inhibiting and killing pathogenic bacteria Pseudomonas
aeruginosa isolated and diagnosed from wounds, burns and urine, as well as studying
its effect on bacteria from synergy with some common antibiotics.
The dissertation reviewed the UV/ViS spectrophotometer showed two
absorption peaks at wavelengths of 276 and 360 nm, while the results of the
atomic force microscope examination highlights that the surface topography size
of the nano-copper oxide reached 34.63 nm.
