During a meeting with the Minister of Electricity, Dr. Luay Al-Khatib, University of Al-Mustansiriyah reviewed joint cooperation between the two sides in the fields of training and energy researches, President of the University, Dr. Hamid Fadhil Al-Tamimi said. Dr. Al-Tamimi added that the two sides’ highlighted mechanisms of joint cooperation in various fields related to electricity and energy, the most important in light of planning to implement training programs for the Ministry's staff and university’s students and faculty members, holding activities such as scientific symposiums, workshops and specialized lectures and conducting research and studies that contribute to the development of the reality of electricity in Iraq. For his part, Dr. Al-Khatib expressed his Ministry's readiness on cooperating with all Iraqi universities, especially Al-Mustansiriyah in order to exchange experiences, within the future plans set by the Ministry to develop the professional level of the staff, Dr. Al-Khatib reviewed the importance of benefiting from the expertise possessed by specialists from the university’s faculty members to update information and keep pace of scientific developments in various fields of energy to ensure the success of achieving the objectives of the Ministry in this field. It is worth mentioning that the meeting was held in light in the framework of continuous cooperation with various Iraqi institutions and universities to implement the objectives of the government program.
