A faculty member in the College of Science, University of Al-Mustansiriyah obtained a patent on preparing a combination of bio-polymer related to urinary catheterization tools.
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, included preparing a combination that extracted from a biocompatible bacteria and anti-gentamycin to increase the effectiveness of antibiotic against bacteria.
