College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Al-Qadisiyah organized a symposium on preserving heritage from climate and geomorphological disaster.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers, faculty members and specialists participated, reviewed the most important natural disasters such as floods in Mesopotamia which played a large role in the damage of many artifacts and exposing to dust of what the Mesopotamia witnessed of invasions and wars throughout history.
The symposium also reviewed the ancient and modern Iraqi civilizations which are rich in their great achievements but not many of them which have been reached safely or maintained geomorphology because they are clay civilizations.
The symposium recommended preparing a preventive program to protect and maintain of monuments and archaeological sites in Iraq.
