College of Science, Al-Karkh University of Science delivered a lecture on the implementations of DGGE technology and its scientific applications. The lecture, in which a number of faculty members and specialists participated, reviewed the new techniques of detecting genetic mutations including DGGE and its applications in this field. The lecture highlighted the importance of these techniques in the detection of the microbial groups in different environments and finding out the new microbial strains that are important for the medical, environmental and criminal fields.
