College of Medicine, University of Babylon discussed a master dissertation on evaluating of changes in carcinoembryonic antigen in colorectal cancer under the influence of various chemical agents by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ali Muhammad Jaafar Abd Al-Saheb. The dissertation aimed at studying the toxic effects of the chemical agents used represented in the treatment of 5-fluorouracil, Curcumin and Febuxostat treatment on LS174T colorectal cancer cells after an incubation period for 24 hours. The dissertation demonstrated the role of these chemicals on the carcinogenic antigen after using them alone or when using more than one mixture. The dissertation reviewed the effect of these chemicals on the carcinoembryonic antigen.
