Basra University: On plant Extracts & Yellow Corn

College of Agriculture, University of Basra organized a symposium on the role of plant extracts in phosphorus feature in calcareous soil and its impact on the growth of yellow corn.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, delivered a lecture on phosphorus added to calcareous to exposure to series of reactions that transform it into a non-absorbent material by the plants.

The symposium reviewed the role of plant extracts and its effect on yellow corn plants as well as this treatment can increase the amount of mineral, organic and total phosphorus compared to other materials which used water extracts.
