College of Engineering, University of Diyala organized a symposium on 5th generation communications in Iraq. The symposium, in which a number of researchers participated, reviewed stages of the emergence of telecommunications generations until the fifth generation, which was paired with the technology of the Internet of things and mechanism of the association of the fifth generation with the Internet of things and completed research, the current challenges facing its spread with a full explanation of the capabilities of this new generation, its capacities, frequencies and applications in several areas that work in conjunction with the development modern mobile devices. The symposium highlighted the database that adopt cloud computing for wireless access networks that support the fourth and fifth generation standards and most of the future wireless communication standards, especially in Iraq.
