During a meeting with the Regional Director of the Francophone University Agency in the Middle East, Mr. Jean Nouel Baliou and his accompanying delegation, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib expressed the Iraqi university institution's keenness on cooperating positively to serve academic, scientific and development goals, providing a perspective climate for applied research projects and supporting international partnership aspects in the fields of twinning between Iraqi and French universities, scientific publishing, training, exchange of experiences and granting mutual scholarships and fellowships. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib called on enhancing applied models of scientific cooperation between the two sides in the fields of environment, addressing climate change, developing technical and industrial expertise and benefiting from its productions in investing and employing young people. For his part, Mr. Baliou expressed the happiness to meet and open up prospects for coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities and to highlight the prospects for joint academic work. Mr. Baliou said that the regional office of the university agency is working to support training centers in universities and projects, especially those related to the digitization of services, governance, education development and achieving the goals of comprehensive development.
