During honoring ceremony at college of Medicine, University Al-Nahrain for the top graduates of Colleges of Medicine who obtained highly competitive ranks in the Creativity and Excellence Award exam, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi  confirmed on the Ministry’s full support for the medical colleges and the medical education environment in Iraq and to continue strengthening the infrastructure and enable it to respond to its goals.

Dr. Al-Aboudi honors the top student who passed the exam for the Creativity and Excellence Award, which is held for the first time at the level The National Council carries indicators of positive interaction and continuous success, which resulted in the ambitious policy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Higher Research, its specialized programs and strategic goals with concurrent tracks, which start from classrooms and end to community service and sustainable development goals.

His Excellency highlighted that the results achieved for this pioneering experience confirm that the educational process in university institutions is moving in the right direction and possessing a balance of quality based on the specialized program accreditation granted by the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq.

Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the Ministry looks with great interest at the indicators of the exam for the Creativity and Excellence Award, due to the results of its achieved results from a scientific measurement of the testing environment and objective evaluation tools, as well as the accurate reading it provides for feedback that includes an evaluation of the educational system and the quality of the components of the educational process.

His Excellency blessed the top graduates who achieved top scores in the exam, which was conducted for the first time in Iraq which ninety-eight graduates from medical colleges participated in it and underwent the highest international standards in setting questions and testing.

For his part, the Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Medical Colleges in Iraq, Dr. Anees Khalil Nayel, appreciated the follow-up and interest of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi on supporting the medical education environment in Iraq.

It is worth mentioning that the ceremony was attended by the Director of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation, Head of the Iraqi Council for Medical Specializations, President of Al-Nahrain University, Deans of medical faculties and a number of students and faulty members.
