During a tour at Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, University of Basrah and its eight scientific Departments of in surgery, internal medicine, anatomy, microbiology, physiology, biochemistry, family and community medicine and pediatrics, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi inaugurated the Skills Laboratory and its new classroom complex.
Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed that Al-Zahraa College of Medicine represents an important addition to medical education in Basrah Governorate, especially that it adopts an integrated approach, which requires concerted scientific efforts to develop and improve its specialized programs, enhance them in quantity and quality, absorb scientific developments and focus on the student from the admission stage, through the process of education and clinical training to graduation and direct work, as well as paying attention to quality requirements through continuous improvement and development through a scientific approach that includes all specialized fields and provides a successful environment for teamwork.
His Excellency reviewed that Iraqi universities in general are witnessing a qualitative update in their programs and scientific plans to ensure that they keep pace with the variables responsible for enhancing the reputation academic institution locally, regionally and globally.
It is worth mentioning that the tour was accompanied by the Governor of Basrah, Eng. Asaad Abd Al-Amir Al-Eidani, President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, a number of Iraqi Parliament members, Deputy for Administrative Affairs and Director General of Studies, Planning and Follow-up.
