Department of Continuing Education, University of Kirkuk held a symposium on the Fulbright for visiting professor. The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed developing faculty members’ activities, guidance , cultural exchanging, hosting them in the American institutions from July 30 to September 8, 2020 (10 weeks), introducing the teaching and research methods, classroom monitoring and developing relations with the American faculty members during weekly guidance sessions. The symposium aimed at promoting the capacity of higher education in Iraq via developing faculty members and mentoring researchers and establishing professional contacts in this field as well as enhancing long-term cooperation and institutional relations between Iraqi and American academics besides promoting mutual understanding between Iraqis and Americans via facilitating participation of the academics with the host campus community.
