Technical College of Engineering-Kirkuk, Northern Technical University discussed a master dissertation on evaluating the performance of diesel engines under the influence of design factors using practical methods and simulation by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Marwa Ezzedine.
The dissertation aimed at conducting practical tests of the diesel engine, finding capacity, efficiency, and specific fuel consumption and compare the practical results with the results of the program, as well as evaluating the engine’s performance under different operational and designing conditions through the use of the program.
The dissertation reviewed good agreement with the results of the practical tests, as the average percentage error in braking power, braking specific fuel consumption, and braking thermal efficiency were (6.142%, 6.024%, 6%), respectively on the other hand, the operational and design factors of the engine were changed.
