College of Education, University of Samarra discussed a master dissertation on the effect of some insect extracts on inhibiting the growth of bacteria isolated from wounds and compared them to antibiotics by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ihsan Hussein Mahdi.
The dissertation aimed at isolating and diagnosing bacterial species isolated from wounds and studying the sensitivity of the pathogenic isolates to various antibiotics, as well as using of bee and tremor body extracts to inhibit the growth of some bacterial species isolated from wounds and to compare the effect of bee and tremor body extracts with antibiotics.
The dissertation reviewed that there are significant differences between the isolates in terms of sensitivity and resistance to the antibiotics used, and resistance and that there is variation in the response of Gram-positive bacterial isolates to the antibiotics specific for these two types, as well as the presence of variation in the sensitivity of E.coli to antibiotics.
