College of Applied Sciences, University of Samarra discussed a master dissertation on some physiological and biochemical parameters and immunogenicity of obese women with diabetes in Samarra City by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Susan Najm Abdullah.
The dissertation aimed at evaluating the complete blood count, lipid profile, some lipid, immunological and biochemical kinetics among obese postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes were patients in Samarra General Hospital and private clinics in Samarra, Salah al-Din Governorate.
The dissertation reviewed the evaluating of the blood image and the lipid profile and the measuring of the levels of insulin, α-tumor necrosis factor, interleukin 17 (IL17), obestatin (OBST) and B-lymphocyte activating factor (BAFF) for the study groups.
The dissertation confirmed that there was a significant increase (P≤0.05) in the levels of white blood cells, lymphocytes, blood platelets, cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoproteins, very low-density lipoproteins, body mass index, insulin hormone, tumor necrosis factor, interleukin-17 and B-cell activating factor in the patient group compared to the control group.
