College of Engineering, Thi-Qar discussed a master dissertation on bending behavior of reinforced concrete beams containing recycled aggregates and reinforced with carbon fibers. The dissertation aimed at conducting a laboratory study on a number of reinforced concrete beams with recycled aggregate RCA Concrete by 30%, 50, 70% of the total weight of the aggregate and reinforced with polymeric carbon fibers to evaluate the bending behavior via using the traditional strengthening method (EBR) and the method groove reinforcement (EBROG). The dissertation concluded that the flexural strength of the samples decreased by increasing the percentage of replacement with recycled aggregates, while all strengthening techniques using polymeric carbon fibers increased the bearing capacity and stiffness compared to the reference threshold.
