Thi-Qar University’s Master’s Dissertation: On Numerical Verification of Shell and Heat Pipe Exchanger

College of Engineering, University of Thi-Qar Universitydiscussed a master dissertation the numerical verification of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger using a hybrid Nano-Fluid by postgraduate student, Mrs. Enas Adnan Sattar. The dissertation reviewed the thermal performance of the shell and tube heat exchanger (STHE) using reverse flow. The dissertation aimed at using of four types of nanoparticles (CuO, Al2O3, TiO2 and MWCNT) with water as a base liquid compared to the hybrid Nano-Fluid (CuO-Al2O3, CuO-TiO2, CuO-MWCNT) with water as a base liquid where the concentration of the studied Nano-Particles was (0.5% , 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%) and the water flow rate in the tube was constant at 0.5 kg/sec with varying flow rate of Nano-Fluid at the shell (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2) kg/sec.
