A joint research team in the College of Science, University of Al-Mustansiriya conducted a study on the pathogenesis in multidrug resistant Acinetobacter Baumanii isolated from intensive care units. The study aimed at analyzing some protein laboratory experiments and the genes expressed, and investigating the pathogenicity and resistance of the pathogenesis in multidrug resistant Acinetobacter Baumanii for various drugs and medical drugs. The study highlighted that the pathogenesis in multidrug resistant Acinetobacter Baumanii are characterized by their negativity to the pigment dye and their resistance to many antibiotics as well as causing many deadly bacteria infections, especially in hospitals, where these bacteria enter the human body through wounds, catheter tubes and breathing tubes besides affecting the patients with low immunity. The study reviewed the excellence protein-producing pathways of the pathogenesis in multidrug resistant Acinetobacter Baumanii by the SDS-PAGE test, and the finding of 135 genes responsible for regulating their secondary metabolic pathways, construction, transport and demolition as well as cloning regulating processes and how these bacteria are managing the resistance to new antibiotics.
