College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, Al-Karkh University of Science delivered a lecture on cloud seeding. The lecture, in which a number of faculty members and students participated, reviewed method of cloud seeding as a method of changing the amount of rain via seeding the clouds with silver iodine or dry ice by plane, ground generator or rocket as well as this method is successful in increasing the annual harvest of the rainwater of the state and increasing the strategic inventory of groundwater. The lecture demonstrated the importance of cloud seeding in combating desertification and global warming by stimulating clouds to drop their water vapor and latent water.
