Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, AL-Karkh University of Science delivered an online lecture on smart cities, opportunities and challenges via ASP Platform, the Faculty member in the University, Dr. Khalil Ibrahim said. Dr. Ibrahim added that the online lecture reviewed the concept of smart cities as innovative cities that use information technology and communication to improve the quality of life to meet the needs of the population in terms of economic, social, environmental and cultural aspects. Dr. Ibrahim continued by saying that the online lecture demonstrated the urban indicators of modern cities that achieve sustainability and that implement the information technology and communications as a means to achieve their rational goals in rationalizing the economy and energy.
