During a visit to the University of Houston, United States, Basra University for Oil and Gas reviewed promoting academic cooperation and developing students and faculty members' skills. The meeting aimed at activation of twinning programs between the Cities of Basra and Houston to ink a cooperation between the University of Houston and the Universities of Basra Province which includes training of faculty members and students at the Technology College of the American University in light of the Petroleum Technology Initiative, which is a comprehensive training program for the managing of oil projects. It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi delegation included University of Basra’s President Dr. Abbas Hafez Abbas and Director General of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Dr. Ehab Al-Attabi.
