During chairing a meeting of the Advisory Board, merged Ministry of Science and Technology, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed completing a number of projects, specially the Academic Research Authority Law project. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib said that the meeting reviewed including the law draft of the required goals that are achieved by the Scientific Research Authority in line with the policies and contexts adopted by the Ministry. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib added that the meeting highlighted the need for the Advisory Board to undertake, in accordance with its law draft, to contribute in achieving sustainable development in its economic and environmental dimensions and ensure coordination at the level of the national effort in the fields of research and development, scientific fields related to renewable energy, information technology, material research, space technologies and supporting of discoveries and patents. It is worth mentioning that the meeting voted to deliver the project to the State Council to be reviewed for final voting in the Council of Ministers and Parliaments, as well as the meeting demonstrated the mechanisms to address a number of issues related to merging the Ministry’s formations and completing the requirements of the National Monitoring Authority, the Atomic Energy Authority and the related administrative joints.
