During a meeting of the Committee of Deans of the Colleges of Medicine in Iraq, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib said that e-learning will contribute in addressing the shortage of the numbers in the staffs of Medical Colleges. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib highlighted the importance of developing the graduates of medical specialties to meet the community’s need in this circumstance, intensify the applied side and develop skills. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib added that the employment of educational electronic platforms can reduce the impact of the shortage in the staffs of medical colleges. His Excellency continued by saying that these colleges provided great eagerness to contribute effectively in facing the current health crisis and made major sacrifices in serving the community. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib reviewed the deans' opinions, suggestions and observations regarding the forthcoming examinations for pre-studies. His Excellency also reviewed that the different academic systems in medical colleges and the full authorities of their councils will provide sufficient flexibility to achieve success, diagnose the level and secure scientific requirements.
