During a meeting with a Russian delegation, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail reviewed the offer of the Russian side to build a nuclear reactor for peaceful and medical purposes in Iraq in cooperation with the Russian government. Dr. Al-Suhail highlighted that two technical delegations from the two countries will meet before the end of this year to reviewed the details that offered by the Russian Rosatom State Company to meet the Iraqi requirements. For their part, the Russian delegation expressed Moscow's readiness on cooperating with the Iraqi Ministries concerned with this project in order to obtain consensus on the project. It is worth mentioning that the delegation included Russian Minister Plenipotentiary, Mr. Maxim Litvinov, Commercial Attaché Mr. Ilya Lolov and, Attaché, Mr. Artyom Strejov at the Russian Embassy to Baghdad.
