During his visit to Russia and meeting the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Mr. Mikhail Kotyukov, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail reviewing inking a memorandum of scientific and academic cooperation in light of the government program of the Ministry. Dr. Al-Suhail highlighted expanding scholarships and fellowships granted by sober Russian universities to Iraqi students. His Excellency also reviewed the importance of promoting joint research between Iraqi and Russian researchers and joint scientific events such as conferences and scientific symposiums as well as the need for twinning programs between Iraqi and Russian universities.  For his part, Mr. Kotyukov expressed his country's readiness on increasing the number of scholarships and fellowships for Iraqi students and developing academic and research cooperation among the universities of the two countries.
