Directorate of Agricultural Research, merged Ministry of Science and Technology conducted a study on implementing of nuclear technologies and effective field practices in increasing the efficiency of using irrigation water. The study aimed at using nuclear technologies in increasing the efficiency of irrigation water, raising the productivity of the used water stations and providing quantities of water in increasing the agricultural area of most strategic crops and avoiding wasting of water. The study highlighted the modern technologies that allow optimal management of irrigation water and increasing the soil content of organic carbon from cultivated waste to improve the physical and water soil properties, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop human capacities in the field of soil and water management.
