The researcher in the Department of Space and Communications, merged Ministry of Science and Technology, Mrs. Aseel Muhammad Mahdi published a book on compressing the satellite image via internal encoding. The book reviewed the wide implementing of satellite images in many applications by compressing the image to reduce the storage space required for its storage and increase its transfer speed, the time and spatial encoding between the images to improve the compression process while preserving the image quality and its features as much as possible as well as implementing encoding between the serial images to remove repetition time via using recording technique that involves extracting the characteristics of the satellite image automatically and then matching two satellite images. The book highlighted implementing encoding within the images that consist of two units, the pressure unit and consists of several sub-levels to deal with the statistical residual within the image of the differences to gain effective pressure and the decompression unit to implement pressure operations in reversing order to form the image.
