College of Science, University of Mosul discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the biosynthesis of some Nano-particles in water and the investigation of their effectiveness in treating waste water in the city of Mosul the postgraduate student, Mrs. Mai Abdul Hafedh Abdul Qader. The thesis aimed at isolating and diagnosing some types of bacteria from the sewage treatment system in the left side of the city of Mosul. The thesis reviewed isolation and identification of some bacterial species from wastewater to test their ability to manufacture some types of nanoparticles, then characterize these nanoparticles to ensure that they fall within the Nano-space and prepare Nano-gum from local gum Arabic. The thesis highlighted the efficiency of Nano-particles in increasing the compressive strength of cement, as well as its efficiency in improving the physical, chemical and biological properties of wastewater.
